The new home of GF's Corporate Archives

The reconstruction of the GF headquarters in Schaffhausen is in full progress. For the Corporate Archives, too, the preparations meant moving! With the newly equipped spacious and generous archive magazine on the GF site, the duty became the pleasure. We are delighted with the new home of the Corporate Archives and are pleased to offer insights into the well-protected underground with treasures from over 200 years of corporate history.

47,000 large folders, 11 safes, over 1200 objects, around 10,000 glass plates: Before the renovation of GF's headquarters in Schaffhausen, the archive team sifted through potential archive material that had accumulated in the basement over the past 60 years. Only a fraction of it was transferred to the Corporate Archives as an accession last fall. Nevertheless, it was getting cramped in the old stacks. We are therefore all the more pleased about the spacious and generous new archive magazine on the GF site in Schaffhausen, which we were able to move into in spring. Now, accessions, file archives, photo and film archives, object collections and art collection find their place under one roof.
