Donation from Michael Darby

Long standing friend of the Iron Library, Michael Darby, has recently donated a selection of new volumes about the industrial history of Great Britain. Michael is a descendent of Abraham Darby, inventor of the coke-fueled blast furnace. These works provide a fascinating insight into the lives and works of the community of industrialists in which moved GF's company founder, Johann Conrad Fischer, whose 250th jubilee will be celebrated next year.

Among the donated titles are to be found:
