What could be better at these high temperatures than a visit to a cooled museum? We recommend the original exhibition “Bees. Threatened Wonder World” (Bienen. Bedrohte Wunderwelt), which can be visited until September 20th in the Museum Allerheiligen in Schaffhausen.

The exhibition gives a highly fascinating insight into the biology of bees and the cultural history of beekeeping. The Iron Library was able to contribute with the forth volume of the “Krünitz” which includes the headword “Bee”. The “Krünitz” is an encyclopedia with 242 volumes that were published between 1773 and 1858.
