36th Conference on the History of Technology 2013

The Iron Library, Foundation of Georg Fischer Ltd., located at the Klostergut Paradies both served as venue and hosted this event. This year’s conference focused on “Forms of Knowledge about Technology and the Transmission of such Knowlege”. 50 international participants from science and industry attended the conference. The 13 presentations given covered a range from “Knowledge- and Technology transfer in the Early Modern Period”, and “Historic Working- and Accident-Prevention Movies of the DDR” to “Importance of and dealing with knowledge in foundry industry, giving the example of GF Automotive”. One of the highlights of the conference was the visit to the Moser Family Museum followed by a dinner at the Villa Charlottenfels in Neuhausen.
