Research in Paradise – Scholar in Residence applications now open

The Iron Library in the former Clarissan Convent Paradies in Schlatt (Switzerland) is an attractive place for concentrated research and creative writing.
In 2025, the Iron Library will once again be offering scholars the opportunity to intensively study the holdings of the Iron Library and the Corporate Archives of GF as a Scholar in Residence for a period of several weeks. The program is addressed to established researchers, younger scholars or advanced students from Switzerland and abroad.
Innovative research projects in the main subject areas of the Iron Library and the Corporate Archives of Georg Fischer Ltd are welcome:
- History of technology and materials (metals and plastics)
- History of metallurgy and mining
- History of science
- Industrial history and culture
- Corporate history GF
