e-rara: New Iron Library titles online

The Iron Library is committed to making its unique works accessible to everyone. This year, as part of the e-rara project, we have digitised 27 books about steam and hydraulic engineering. Among the titles are Jacques-Eugène Armengaud's monumental 17 volume 1845 survey of the machines in use in France and abroad, and John Winton's 1883 "Modern Steam Practice and Engineering". A highlight is the five fold-out mechanical models from 1910, including a steam train, which are among the earliest pop-up works on e-rara! All titles are freely accessible online.
