e-codices: Johann Conrad Fischer's Europe-wide Network

Johann Conrad Fischer, the founder of GF, maintained a Europe-wide business and scientific network. Two manuscripts, which are now available for free viewing on the e-codices portal, bear witness to this. The diary, rediscovered in 2018, entitled "My conversations with princes" describes Fischer's meetings with Archduke Johann of Austria between 1826 and 1842. The second manuscript is a "correspondence book" in which Fischer recorded his international business correspondence for the years 1811 to 1817. The Corporate Archives of Georg Fischer Ltd are now represented on e-codices with some 900 digitized book pages from five manuscripts.
