The Iron Library is a founding member of VINTES
In the context of the photo exhibition «COUNTING, MEASURING, NAVIGATING, REGULATING» in Zug, more than 50 representatives of Swiss institutions and organizations from all regions founded the society «Industrial Heritage and History of Technology Switzerland (VINTES)» on 27 November 2015.
The society mainly aims at the preservation, promotion, development, and communication of the rich industrial, economical, and technological heritage of Switzerland. Its purpose is to promote the interest in the cultural history of the industry and to implement useful measures for its maintenance in order to support and connect the individual initiatives. The group of initiators consists of representatives of different museums, archives, and educational trails, both from the private and the public sector.
