10 years of the ANTON archive database and digital services

We are celebrating - 10 years of the ANTON archive database and digital services in the Corporate Archives of Georg Fischer Ltd!

The GF archive was the pilot and the basis for the development of ANTON in cooperation with Kränzle & Ritter ten years ago. Thanks to ANTON, we can store the sources in digitized form and make them easily available online.

The constantly growing digital collection includes photographs, films, advertising material, reports, company magazines and historical publications. The digital offering now includes 6397 digital volumes and files with 171,544 pages as well as 38,236 digitized and born-digital photographs. By providing free access to these sources, we support historical research and address a growing circle of users worldwide.

What began ten years ago on a small scale has developed into the most frequently used access to our holdings. In 2024, the archive website registered a new record of 20,762 hits. The digital offerings are appreciated by internal employees as well as external researchers and interested parties.
