Art in the convent
Wyser Collection - Prints
The Wyser Collection brings together about 350 old prints from the Schaffhausen region which have been housed in the East Wing of the Klostergut Paradies since the autumn of 1991. The Collection is displayed in six rooms, with each room being devoted to a particular topic. The display cabinets contain further materials belonging to the Collection such as documents or books. Other cabinets showcase an exhibition devoted to print-making as a craft, e.g. the steel and copper plates used for engraving.

Rohr Collection - Maps
The Rohr Collection consists of about 80 old maps of the Canton of Schaffhausen; of these, 47 are on display. The maps, covering the period from 1525 to 1897, are housed in the North Wing of the Klostergut Paradies convent in a small but select exhibition. According to the current state of knowledge, the collection of old Schaffhausen cantonal maps is practically complete. Maps of the city of Schaffhausen are also on display, and a highlight of the Collection is one of the first printed maps of Switzerland.

Mettler Collection – Art collection
The Peter Mettler Rheinfall Collection complements the Wyser and Rohr Collections perfectly. The private collector Peter Mettler assembled this treasure of some 300 views of the Rhine Falls that were created before the railway bridge was built in 1850. The Mettler Collection includes oil paintings, drawings, gouaches, wood cuts, etchings, aquatints, lithographs, etc.
