The Iron Library's entire holdings are accessible in the electronic catalogue and can be searched on the Internet in the Swiss meta catalogue CHVK:

The Iron Library has been a member of the Südwestdeutscher Bibliotheksverbund (SWB), an association of libraries in south-western Germany, since mid-2007 and the entire collection is now searchable in their online catalogue:

When searching the SWB catalogue, you can either search the entire catalogue (showing references of all the libraries holding a copy of the book) or restrict your search to the collection of the Iron Library. For the latter option, restrict your search as follows:
First select "Expanded Search", then in any of the four fields that appear select "Bibliothekssigel, Suche nach Titel [SGE]" (last option in the drop-down list) and in the adjacent field enter "zzz9 CH2" (library identifier of the Iron Library in the SWB).
Choose the "Advanced" search option, then use the drop-down menu of one the fields to select the option "institution code, search for titles [SGE]" and write the code "zzz9 CH2" into the field.
The Iron Library is a reference library and the media may not be taken out on loan. With a few exceptions, though, all the Library's materials can be consulted in the Reading Room.
